About
Oregon Wellness Network offers virtual leader training in CDSMP, a SMRC evidence-based Self-Management Program originally developed at Stanford University. These classes will prepare individuals to facilitate evidence-based classes in Chronic Disease Self-Management and serves as the basic building block for other cross-trainings.
Requirements
Leaders will be expected to conduct at least one 6-week series within 6 months of completing this leader training.
In addition, participants must:
- Attend all sessions (or make-up sessions) to graduate
- Have access to stable, high speed internet with a camera and microphone (cameras must be turned on during sessions)
- Use a computer or laptop (no mobile devices or telephone participation)
- Have good sound quality
- Be proficient in how to use your equipment
Additional Info
- Class offerings include the most current manuals and textbooks.
- Prep work and practice teach are required during training.
- Bilingual speakers (English and Spanish) may take this training in English and teach the class in Spanish (Tomando Control de su Salud). If this describes your situation, you will receive both English- and Spanish-language manuals.
